Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a unique type of bodywork that combines the ancient practice of yoga with contemporary body-mind psychology.  Prior experience with yoga is not necessary to benefit from yoga therapy. You are assisted in moving into selected yoga postures, and then allowed to relax into each posture. A sensitive, focused dialogue encourages you to notice what is happening in your body, heart (emotions) and mind. Many people become aware of a specific connection between their thoughts, feelings, and physical reactions. For others, it is simply a deeply relaxing experience and needed respite from everyday stress. For more information go to:

Hatha Yoga: Movement and Breathing

The physical benefits of an ongoing, consistent yoga practice include improved flexibility, strength, and balance. Many people report increased mental clarity and calm as well.

Prior to the first session, your goals are explored and an individualized yoga program is designed to meet your needs. Your unique progam is paced to fit your abilities and challenges. One-on-one instruction helps to familiarize beginners with classical yoga postures and breathing. Mindfulness meditation is an aspect of yoga practice that can be included if you are interested.

  Classes may be arranged at your location

  • Gentle Yoga
  • Chair Yoga

    Chair Yoga is suitable for those unable to stand or get up and down on the floor.

    Fees for classes negotiable.
